Defender and Range Rover for a holiday in Sardinia

Defender turns a holiday in Sardinia into a dream. A beach club with a breathtaking lounge on Baja Sardinia. A self-sufficient eco-home, equipped with every comfort, within an off-road park where you can learn the most extreme driving techniques accompanied by expert instructors. A private island, natural oasis and farm with a zero-kilometre oyster bar by the sea. These are just some of the experiences that luxury automotive brands Defender and Range Rover offer their customers visiting the Costa Smeralda. (Here all our posts about Range Rover)

Range Rover and Ferretti a renewed partnership

A bond, the one between JLR and Sardinia, that is renewed every year and grows stronger. Range Rover, for the third year running the official “tender” of the Yacht Club Costa Smeralda and courtesy car of the Ferretti group, is now at home in Porto Cervo. Right here, where the Maxi Yacht Rolex Cup regattas will soon start, Range Rover is present with its own Conciergerie at the Waterfront, the luxury village created by architect Giò Pagani in the spaces of Porto Vecchio.

Range Rover Conciergerie: five-star service

Imagine getting off the brand new wallywhy150, the “small” mega yacht (less than 24 metres) that will be officially unveiled to the public at the next Cannes Boat Show, but which is currently sailing in front of Porto Cervo. To welcome you, next to the Riva Lounge – an exclusive venue with the typical flavour of the dolce vita, evoking iconic yachts of an unforgettable era – the hostesses and stewards of Range Rover Conciergerie, with a series of services and experiences dedicated to Defender and Range Rover owners.

As Marco Santucci, CEO of Jaguar Land Rover Italia, tells us, this great affinity between the Range Rover world and boating is no coincidence.”We share with the nautical world, and especially with Ferretti, a clientele with strong interests in common. In addition to a particular focus on design and beauty, what we have in common is a great passion for nature.

A passion that we also try to express through continuous research into materials and technology, to reduce our impact on the environment.” But there is also the theme of living on the move that links Range Rover, Defender and yachting. If for Ferretti owning a yacht is like taking your own private island with you, surely the interiors of luxury cars like the new Range Rover Velar are now more and more like a living room at home. The car thus becomes an extension of the home, a sort of living room on the move.

New design for Defender and Land Rover

Clean lines, materials and design choices that have an impact on improving the car’s sustainability are a reflection of the codes of Modern Luxury, a modernist and Bauhaus style that Gerry McGovern OBE, JLR’s Chief Creative Officer, wanted to imprint on the Range Rover and Defender lines.

Range Rover

A brand philosophy that aims at the search for simplicity, making the car a means of conveying emotions rather than an object whose technology is exalted. And it is precisely on conveying these emotions that Jaguar Land Rover aims through these experiences, involving its customers and making them feel ‘at home’ even on holiday.
