SLAM presents the Autumn Winter 2023/24 collection

In May, SLAM IS BACK to present the project and collection of Slam.com, the new company born from the acquisition, in 2021, by VAM Investments fund of the historic Italian brand founded in 1979. In December, the presentation of the AW2023/24 Collection and the capsule that enrich it. In both cases, to lead the events the A.D. by SLAM.com Enrico Chieffi, ex-Olympic and sailing champion. Among his titles the World championship in 1986 and the European championship in 2021, always in the Star, queen Class of sailing. (Here all our posts about SLAM)

A constantly updated proposal

“Starting today” explained Enrico Chieffi alongside stylist Gianfranco Azzini and Maria Luisa Wiegand, head of the SLAM.com style department, “our range will be even broader, including sportswear and outdoor products for urban settings. The Core concept and guiding principle of this collection is the fact that each and every product’s fabrics, layers and finishes are designed for active use at sea, the most unforgiving environment for testing materials. The experience and expertise gained from this allow us to offer sportswear and urban outdoor lines at the forefront of quality, technology, innovation and sustainability, combined with a style and elegance that remain faithful to the Made in Italy label”.

SLAM a capsule of 12 items

The capsule presented by Enrico Chieffi and divided into 12 items, seven for men and five for women, enriches the SLAM collection made up of 125 items offering almost 1000 possible combinations. This is the first of a series of capsules that every six months will mark the growth of the SLAM proposal with the novelties of the moment created thanks to the use of new technologies and new colors in line with market trends.

Production returns to Europe

During the event, Enrico Chieffi also updated on two of the topics anticipated at the presentation in May, confirming that SLAM is proceeding with its commitment to bring the production of top-of-the-range products partly back to Europe and partly to Italy, as well as the ever-increasing use of low environmental impact materials with fibers that derive from the recycling of plastic bottles, fishing nets and industrial waste and organic cotton comes from ecological crops.

SLAM and the Dream Team

With SLAM committed to supporting the Dream Team made up of a series of sailing champions, an initiative which is part, as Enrico Chieffi underlined, of the company’s strategic project and with Chieffi himself who confessed that he prepares at night for the next sailing season Star Class with the key appointment of the world championship which will take place in September in Italy, there was no lack of a sports space with the presentation of the Dream Team athletes starting with Caterina Banti, Olympic gold medalist at Tokio 2020 in the Nacra 17 Class with the helmsman Ruggero Tita.

Finally, before a catwalk featuring of the ten most emblematic outfits of the AW2023/24 capsule- Enrico Chieffi presented the new corporate structure of SLAM.com which from January 2023 will see the entry of Marco Perazzo in the role of worldwide B2B & Trade director.
