Telex by Bannenberg & Rowell

With exteriors and interiors by Bannenberg & Rowell, Telex is a 66m concept inspired by a new approach to yachting and four main themes: adventure, power, proportions, freedom and an active lifestyle. The beach area has a gym, diving gear, wellness area and even stowage for a small submersible.

Both the relaxation area and gym have hideaway balconies to extend their size and increase contact with the sea. The 1300GT yacht will have a generous near-12m beam that will produce equally ample living spaces both interior and exterior. Telex’s blocky masculine lines hug a big plumb bow and four decks with small overhangs to open up the al fresco areas beneath. The interiors are classic yet modern.

The impression is of large open plan spaces in direct contact with the outside world. On the main deck, these include a large saloon with picture-view windows and a central fireplace that acts as a focal point and gathering place in winter. Large glass doors open up to link the saloon with the main cockpit and infinity pool aft, creating a stunning space. The upper deck will have an observatory lounge while the bridge deck also has a large hydromassage tub.

Telex can welcome up to 14 guests to seven staterooms. Four of the latter are on the lower deck but the master suite and two other cabins are on the main. There will be a crew of 14 also. Simon Rowell told us: “Privacy, space, time and adventure are all rare products but freedom is the ultimate luxury».
