The 44th edition of the Cannes Yachting Festival

Ready, set, go! Just few days to go before the opening of the 2022 edition of the Cannes Yachting Festival, which will be held from Tuesday 6 September to Saturday 10 September, with opening hours from 10 am to 7 pm.

This edition promises to be really interesting and aims to surpass the numbers of last year’s, which saw 575 exhibitors, 620 boats including 141 world premieres (here the list) and no less than 54,400 visitors despite the pandemic still being in the air.

Two different spot for Sailing and Motor Yachts

This year the show will again be divided by boat type: motor boats and their equipment will be exhibited in the Vieux Port, while the Port Canto will showcase the sailing world. Regular visitors will find at the Vieux Port the Luxury Gallery, a space dedicated to luxury and the art of living, and at the other end of the Croisette, at Port Canto, the ‘Yacht Brokerage & Charter’ area bringing together the show’s largest yachts, and the ‘Toys’ sector dedicated to nautical toys. The Green Route, on the other hand, will bring together eco-efficient solutions developed by exhibitors to reduce the boating industry’s environmental impact on the sea and marine ecosystems.

The Vieux Port, one of the oldest ports on the Côte d’Azur. On the edge of an idyllic waterfront and at the foot of the Suquet, it enjoys a privileged location in the heart of Cannes.  The picture would not be complete without the islands of Lérins rising up opposite. The port is bordered to the west by the embarkation quay for the islands and to the east by the famous Albert-Edouard pier that runs alongside the Palais des Festivals, offering a dock of over half a kilometre to accommodate all the large yachts.

In 2022, the Vieux Port will welcome more than 500 prestigious motor yachts, from 5 to 45 metres, brand new, presented by the biggest international shipyards. The novelties are expected to be numerous. The Vieux Port is also the casket of the Luxury Gallery, an area dedicated to luxury and lifestyle.

On the other side of the Croisette, the Port Canto is the casket of the Sailing Space. In 2022, it will bring together more than 120 new sailing yachts from 10 to 28 metres, monohulls and multihulls, including more than 20 world firsts. These vessels will be displayed on the water in front of the stands of shipyards, accessory makers and service companies. This area is entirely dedicated to sailing and gives the show a completely different atmosphere.

At Port Canto, the Brokerage & Toys area presents some forty used boats from 22 to 56 metres available for sale or hire. The floor space is occupied by ‘toys’, nautical toys that have become indispensable accessories for large yachts or a day at the beach.

At the entrance to the show, on the other hand, visitors will find the Luxury Gallery, a space dedicated to luxury, craftsmanship and lifestyle. Located inside the Palais des Festivals au Vieux Port and featuring an elegant and refined setting, it allows visitors to discover famous brands or more reserved players offering exceptional products and unique savoir-faire.
