Laura Pomponi: “I gave space to my passion”

Emotion is the secret of her Luxury Projects

A return to the purity and simplicity of the lines. A work done with great care and careful search for materials”. Laura Pomponi, CEO and founder of Luxury Projects, sums up the philosophy on which she addressed her work. With a degree in electrical engineering, Laura Pomponi gave ground to her passion for art, design and the attention to detail in the world of luxury yachts.

After having worked as an engineer around the world, I decided to return to my hometown Ancona” says Laura. “I sent a resume to a construction site, I had an interview and I started to work for the shipyard CRN. I worked for five years as a CRN project manager overseeing the construction of yachts in steel and fiberglass prototypes from their initial stage where they are just wooden models. It was a very demanding task that allowed me to follow all the stages of construction. Then I decided to launch my own business. My grandmother used to design clothes in the 30’s; I feel I have a taste for color and shapes in my blood. So, in 2008, I started my project.”

Luxury Projects created many projects of yachts and their interiors. Among the many Koji, the Leopard 110’ of Cantieri Arno (Arno Shipyard) that carries her signature for the interiors and that won the World Superyacht Awards in 2013. Her project doesn’t stop at simple design, it follows every aspect of the yacht. “We take care of every detail, even the logo for the yacht. There is a thread with which we can tie everything, and its color is red, the color of emotion”.
